Body:

Consensus is the process the League uses to reach member agreement
on study issues. It is neither a simple majority nor unanimity; instead, it is an overall sense of the group. In other words, consensus results from finding answers to questions, answers on which League members can find common ground and agreement.

We will be holding group discussion that allows an exchange of ideas and opinions in order to achieve consensus on this Study.

Those who wish to do some research before the meeting may find background materials and other useful information at the LWVUS Web site: www.lwv.org. We will have materials available at the meeting and our committee members will be able to answer your specific questions regarding the materials that have been provided by the National League Study Committee. There will be an opportunity to discuss the materials before we proceed with the consensus portion of the meeting.
